I'VE HAD AN ACCIDENT, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Report Accident
It is important to report your incident to your insurance company as soon as possible.

Obtain Claim Number
When you report your incident to your insurance company, they should give you a claim number. It is important to have this claim number before you receive any quotes for your car.

Get A Quote
Call in to obtain a quote on damages. Most insurance companies now only require 1 quote which means less running around for you!
After we have finalised your quote, we will send it along with your claim number to your insurance company. Note: We use electronic quoting so your insurance company will recieve the quote straight away, and will enable your car to be booked in for repair sooner.

Approval (Insurance Company Assessment)
Most insurance companies will normally assess your quote within 2 to 4 working days of it being sent by Northway Smash Repairs. After their assessment, they will send us an approval notification. This means, we can commence repairing your car based on the assessed quote.

Get Booked
Once we have received approval, we will contact you to arrange the best time possible to have your vehicle repaired.

Excess
If you have an excess, you will need to pay this to us when you pick up your repaired vehicle, unless paid prior direct to your Insurance company. It is a good idea to double check with your Insurance company to see if you have an excess payable before you arrive.
